3rd – 5th October 2014
If you’re wondering what’s on in the area, our new events page is a good place to start. With more and more events being added each week, finding something to do should be easy. There are, of course, lots of other things to do in the region – our blogs contain loads of ideas, from car boot sales to boat trips.
Here’s a little taster of what’s on this weekend.
1st – 31st October
This month-long festival is all about getting people thinking and talking about mental health and wellbeing. It promises plenty of reasons to be cheerful with a packed arts and film programme including film screenings, workshops, seminars, art, theatre, music, comedy and exhibitions of local work.
On Saturday there is a Heritage Walk: Past & Present, great for blowing away the cobwebs. Phone 01343 567188 for details.
Saturday 4th, 10:15 am – 11:15 am
Orienteering is a terrific way to get to know the Moray countryside and get off the beaten track. Improve your navigation skills and get fitter at the same time! Visitors to Moray as well as locals are welcome to take part – it doesn’t matter if you’re not a member of a club or have never done orienteering before – someone will show you what to do. Moravian Orienteering club holds at least one event a month in a different part of Moray. Each event caters for adults and juniors, making it an ideal family activity as well as a serious challenging sport for the competitively minded.
Sunday 5th, 11:00 am – 5:00 pm
A great day of crafts, apple juicing, local food stalls and apple games/activities for kids. Organic lunches will be served between 12.30 – 2pm and tea and home bakes will be available all day. Proceeds towards a wheelchair accessibility project.
