St Laurence Church
Service: Place of Worship
Church of Scotland
Built on a site of Christian worship dating from mid-13th century, todays neo-Gothic building designed by John Robertson and dedicated in 1906 is a fine example of the stonemasons craft. The pitch-pine ceiling and the stained glass windows by Douglas Strachan and Percy Bacon help to create the special atmosphere of peace and beauty. Font replica of one in Dryburgh Abbey. Information leaflets in English, French, German, Spanish and Italian are free. Welcomers on duty.
