HISTORY
Until the beginning of 19th century the hanlet of Dolais Mychel was situated at Torechastle on the right bank of the Lossie. the sixteen families there at the time were eveicted and in 1811 the present village was feued and building began. By 1871 the village boasted 50 houses most of which were rebuilt in the first quarter of the 20th cenury.
