HISTORY

Also known as "Buckie-west-the-burn". Has been as fishing station for several centuries. The first houses were built in 1645. Construction of the harbour began in 1855 and was completed two years later. Harbour was extended in 1862 by D. and T. Stevenson but being exposed to north-east gales was largely superses by Cluny? harbou of 1878.
